Here’s what you need to know…

She's helped me more than three different doctors...

[My CCD dietitian] is great. She listens very well and pays attention to what you say. She’s helped me more in 5 months, than 3 different doctors did in a couple of years. She’s knowledgeable and able to apply her knowledge to help. I now have tools to help me manage my food sensitivities and I feel I’m getting real help for the future. I highly recommend her.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s an IBD focused dietitian?

In the US, dietitians are the only licensed individuals who can legally provide medical nutrition therapy, nutrition designed to treat diseases. IBD focused dietitians are those with special training and expertise in IBD specifically.
Your goals might vary, but some of the top things we help our patients with are:

  • Reducing symptoms like diarrhea, constipation, bloating & abdominal pain
  • Helping to restore weight when there is appetite loss and/or weight loss
  • Correcting & troubleshooting nutrient deficiencies
  • Helping you ask for the nutrition labs you need
  • Helping you navigate food (when everything hurts!)
  • Giving you tools to improve your tolerance with trigger foods
  • Providing clarity on which food patterns increase risk of flare ups
  • Easing fears around food & helping you bring back peace with food
  • Taking the stress out of figuring it out on your own
  • Allowing you to think about food less

What type of results are possible?

While it wouldn’t be ethical to guarantee results, we can share a bit about what to expect and what’s possible. With each patient, we aim for symptom reduction, improved energy, expanded diets, and increased confidence in knowing what to eat with IBD. If any of this resonates, our programs are probably the right fit for you.

How do I know which program to choose?

We have three different offerings for our IBD clients. You can explore our checklists to help you determine which one is the best fit for you here.

Do you accept insurance?

We are not “in network” for insurance plans, but we do offer reimbursement receipts (superbills) when you work with us. We also accept HSA and FSA payments.

Are there payment plans available?

Yes. You can choose to pay in full or use one of our payment plans. You can find more information on pricing and payment plans at each program’s application link.

If I’m on medication for my IBD, will nutrition help?

You’ll see (if you haven’t already) many people making claims about being “medication free”. As someone who interacts with thousands of IBD patients each year, most people will need some sort of medication to keep their IBD in a good place. However, this doesn’t mean you have to choose between medication and optimizing nutrition. In fact, they are better together. Nutrition can help amplify what medication is doing for you.

I think I already understand my “trigger” foods… How can you help?

IBD is unique in that how we are feeling doesn’t always indicate how our IBD is. In fact, you can be symptom free… And still have inflammation. And vice versa, you can have lots of symptoms… And not have inflammation. This is why it’s so important to monitor your IBD with your GI.

In the same way symptoms and inflammation don’t always correlate, symptom triggers and inflammatory diet patterns also don’t correlate. This is also what makes nutrition so confusing. You might be trying to figure out your nutrition by seeing how you feel with each food – and before you know it – you have a long list of trigger foods and only 5 “safe” foods. Talk about stressful!

Instead we help provide clarity on what to adjust to reduce risk of flare, and more importantly we help you find what you can ADD to your diet and how to adapt trigger foods to help them become more tolerable, reducing symptoms AND inflammation.

How do I get started?

Once you know which program you’d like to participate in, you can find more info, apply and make your first payment using these links.

I have more specific questions that aren’t answered here. Can I talk with someone first?

Yep! Our Client Care Manager, Leah, would be happy to talk with you and answer any specific questions. You can book a complimentary call with Leah here.

Which program is best for you?

Using the three checklists as a guide, click or tap through each checklist to find the program that sounds the most like you. When you’re done, the list with the most check marks is probably the best fit.

Life-changing...

I was diagnosed with a debilitating autoimmune disease in addition to suffering with chronic inflammation. Her guidance based on scientific knowledge to healthier eating and supplement support of my micronutrient deficiencies has reduced my inflammation and helped keep my autoimmune symptoms at bay.

[My CCD dietitian] is a great listener, easy to talk to, genuinely caring and able to apply her knowledge to help.

Within two weeks I noticed a difference....

I went to [the CCD team] with severe stomach issues after being blown off by numerous doctors. Within 2 weeks I noticed a difference and now 6 months later I feel like a whole new woman. I recommend anyone and everyone to visit them. […] They believe in healing their clients.

My UC is now in remission!

My UC is now in remission! I still have bumps in the road, but I now know what works best for my body and have a clear idea of what nutrition treatments are most effective. Thankful to finally be able to get back to running again.

I’m now at my normal weight and am no longer in pain.

I can’t believe how much has improved. When I first started working with [the CCD team] I had lost over 25 lbs, was in a lot of pain and was pretty depressed after going to the ER several times without any answers. I’m now at my normal weight and am no longer in pain.
